Abdominoplasty

The abdomen can be either flaccid or globe-like. A careful examination by the surgeon will confirm if the "abdominal wall" is intact, i.e., with no hernias or flaccidity.

The procedure aims at two issues: surgical correction of the abdominal wall, with tight reinforcement and waist modeling, and removal of remaining skin and fat excess over this newly reshaped wall. The skin is removed by either a large or a small incision, or simply by liposuction associated to a small incision over the pubic hair area, according to what was settled during the interview with the surgeon. Abdominoplasty is generally carried out under local or epidural anesthesia.
